About me and my therapy practice

Welcome to Melina Therapy, private and confidential counselling, coaching and supervision services. Bringing together over 20 years' experience as a therapist and supporting a wide variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, confidence and low self-esteem. With expertise in addictions, relationships, sexual abuse, trauma and PTSD.

During these difficult times you may have been struggling with your mental health and this can be an opportunity to begin your therapeutic journey and if you are suffering from past unresolved issues you do not have to struggle alone. In these uncertain times you may have been experiencing many uncomfortable emotions such as fear and anxiety. These symptoms are associated with traumatic circumstances, loss and uncertainty and can linger during and post traumatic events. With a deep understanding and expertise in trauma I can help support and guide you through these difficult times.

If you have difficulties within your relationship, whether they are past problems or magnified during this time, I am a couple counsellor experienced in working with a vast variety of relationship issues. Whether you have grown apart, arguing or conflict, lost your spark, intimacy or a betrayal of trust has occurred. I can offer you a safe space for each of you to explore your feelings, feel heard and have the support and guidance with someone who is professionally trained but impartial to each of you.

Another branch to Melina Therapy is Life Coaching which is ideal if you want to make some sort of positive change in your life. Whether that is in your home life, career, confidence, relationships, health and well-being. I offer effective individualised coaching sessions to help you overcome obstacles, find happiness and reach the goals that you desire. Some clients benefit from a combination of Melina therapies and I am happy to discuss these options with you.

About me and my therapy practice

Welcome to Melina Therapy. I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor, Clinical Supervisor and Life Coach. Bringing over 20 years' counselling and coaching experience to supervision and supporting a wide variety of mental health issues including anxiety and depression. With expertise in addictions, relationships, sexual abuse and violence, trauma and PTSD. I am experienced in working with children, young people, adults, couples, EAP and organisations. I have had the fortune of working within different communities and cultures and I reflect and embrace this within my practice.

During these difficult times you may be struggling with your own mental health and could benefit from additional therapeutic support or you may be looking for a clinical supervisor. My aim is to create a warm and safe space where you can explore and reflect on your client cases and practice. My focus is to deeply listen to gain understanding and offer support and guidance to promote good practice and protect clients from poor practice. I believe that the supervision relationship is equal and built on the core concepts of therapy to enable openness and honesty without judgement or consequence. Appointments are private and confidential and in line with the BACP Ethical Framework.
