Welcome to Melina Therapy and home to private and confidential therapy services, offering a range of therapies to meet your emotional and well-being needs. Bringing over 20 years' experience as a clinician and supporting a wide variety of mental health issues, with expertise in addictions, relationships, sexual assault, rape, trauma, PTSD, stress and anxiety. My approach is Integrative and drawn from Person Centred, Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral, Neuro-Lingustic Programming and Solution Focused therapies. A unique blend of therapies to create individual psychological care. Sessions are remote and available from a variety of platforms to suit your preference and convenience and without geographical restrictions.

Begin your therapeutic journey and find the peace and resolve  you deserve. Whether you have past unresolved issues, childhood trauma or issues related to now. Melina Therapy can offer you a safe space where you can be completely honest without judgement, feel listened to and met with empathy and regard. 

I work with individual clients and couple counselling. Whether you have grown apart, lack intimacy, experienced betrayal, lost trust, or there is conflict in your relationship. I can offer space for each of you to explore your feelings, feel heard and have the support and guidance with someone who is professionally trained but impartial to each of you. 

Or you may benefit from Melina Well-being Therapy. Individually tailored sessions, focused on your emotional and physiological care. Aimed to create and support positive change and well-being into your daily life. Reducing stress, anxiety, lowness and lack of motivation. Using mindfulness, relaxation and coaching techniques to enable you to find happiness and purpose in your daily goals, whilst working towards long term goals.  

Practice description

We will enter into this with kindness, so you can seek the additional support that you deserve. You will be met with warmth and professionalism. With the re-assurance that you are with a highly experienced BACP Accredited Counsellor, adhering to the BACP Ethical Framework and Codes of Practice. I provide short to longer term therapy to meet individual need and circumstance.

My first session

Please be rest assured that your first session will be fine. During your initial session you will have the opportunity to discuss the difficulties that you are experiencing  and what may have led you to therapy. This gives me the opportunity to find out a little about you and your background history. I advise clients to book an initial appointment to see if they feel comfortable with me and I can access how I can be of benefit to them.

About me and my therapy practice

Welcome to Melina Therapy and profile to my Clinical Supervision service. I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor, with over 20 years' experience as a clinician and Wellness Coach. Supporting a wide variety of mental health issues, including anxiety and depression and with expertise in addictions, relationships, sexual assault, rape, trauma and PTSD. I am experienced in working with children, young people, adults and couples and with the fortune of working within different communities, cultures and countries which I embrace and reflect within my practice. 

My therapeutic approach is Integrative and drawn from Person Centred, Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral, Neuro Linguistic Programming and Solution Focused therapies and coaching techniques, underpinning and informing my practice. This unique blend of skills and therapies  enables me to tailor your supervision to your individual need. With an holistic approach towards your self care and well-being.

You will be met with warmth and professionalism, to create a safe space where you can explore and reflect on your client cases and practice. My focus is to deeply listen to gain understanding and offer support and guidance to promote good practice and protect clients from poor practice. I believe that the supervision relationship is equal and built on the core concepts of therapy to enable openness and honesty without judgement. Appointments are available from a variety of remote and online platforms to suit your preference and convenience and without geographical restrictions.

I work exclusively from Private Practice and having gained a wealth of experience within the following fields;

  • therapeutic play therapy with children impacted by parental drug and alcohol misuse.
  • support and interventions with young people and adults with problematic drug use.
  • couple and relationship counselling.
  • victims of sexual abuse, sexual assault, rape and trauma.
  • individual young people and adult clients.
  • school counselling.
  • sex workers and outreach work.
  • pregnancy and termination counselling.
