About me and my therapy practice

Hello, my name is Rosie and as a therapist I'm dedicated to providing you with a non-judgemental, confidential and accepting space to share whatever is on your mind.

What will the therapy experience be like with me?

The decision to begin therapy can seem daunting at first, but it can also be one of the most rewarding endeavours you can undertake, allowing you to cultivate a life rich in meaning, purpose and satisfaction. We each hold stories about ourselves and I believe that we have the power to author the lives we most want to live, regardless of the hand that we've been dealt.

However you find yourself here; whether you seek deeper self-contact, wish to navigate inner conflicts or experience challenges in your relationships, I'm here to accompany you through that journey.

Offering a heart-felt presence with a caring, compassionate demeanour, I strive to create a supportive environment in our sessions where you'll be enabled to feel heard, valued and understood. Placing my trust in you that you are the person that knows yourself best, I will listen to you with respect, kindness and empathy in a way that liberates you to live with increased harmony, creativity, joy and vitality.

My expertise is derived from years of training, over a decade in the advocacy field as well as overcoming my own personal challenges including anxiety, loss and relationship difficulties. Success in therapy has allowed me to live in a way I never thought possible, inspiring my devotion and passion towards helping others. In going through my own healing, I appreciate the courage and vulnerability it takes to reach out for support. If you are feeling scared or worried, I can assure you that you no longer have to be alone as I will walk with you on your path, using the space we create together to guide you towards greater levels of healing and happiness.

Practice description

As an integrative relational counsellor, I believe in the strength of blending various therapeutic techniques, incorporating dialogic and creative methods, and draw on a diverse range of modalities including transactional analysis, psychodynamic and humanistic approaches.

I tailor my style to address the unique challenges and goals of each person. Through collaborative exploration and holistic guidance, my desire is to empower you to integrate new insights and skills which foster deep personal growth and lasting positive change.

My first session

Please feel free to contact me in a way that is most comfortable to you; either by telephone call, message, WhatsApp or email. You can expect to receive a friendly, warm and welcome response within a couple of days.

I offer an optional, free 15 minute telephone call for us to have a quick chat if you want to ask any questions about the counselling process or wish to connect before arranging an initial session.

Each therapy session lasts 50 minutes. Our first session won't require you to make any commitment to the counselling process. Instead, it'll be an opportunity to get to know one another a little, to let me know what you'd like to get from counselling, to ask questions and consider whether I'm the right therapist for you. Sometimes people know straight away, others need time to consider before making a decision.

If we decide to continue, we'll agree on a day and time to meet which is usually on a weekly basis but can be flexible dependent on your needs.
