About me and my therapy practice
Is life feeling overwhelming and challenging for you right now? Are you struggling with anxiety, stress, or depression and not sure where to turn to for help. Are you having negative thoughts about yourself that is impacting your self-esteem and the things that are going on around you, have you found yourself in situations or relationship that no longer feel relevant or serve a purpose in your life causing you to feel stuck and alone. Maybe you’ve experienced a trauma that you are struggling to process. Talking to someone who is unconnected with no judgement allows you to hear your thoughts and feel your feelings clearly, giving you the time to process them within a safe space.
Taking the first steps into counselling may feel scary and you may worry about being judged, I am a friendly warm down to earth non-judgemental counsellor, my approach is to be with you on your journey of healing, I will listen and understanding what is going on for you, I will support you in processing and acknowledge how you are feeling and understanding what’s going on for you, this will enable you to make change that will have a positive impact on your life and the things that are going on around you.

Jemma West Counselling service offers Individual and couples counselling via face to face and online, I am passionate in supporting others to have healthy relationship with self and others. If you’re struggling with stress, anxiety, low moods, self-esteem or depression and this is having an impact on how you feel about yourself and impacting the relationships around you, then together I can support you on your journey of change, as you become your best self, having a healthy relationship with self, will help you to have healthier communication and relationships with others.
My first session
I offer a free 20 minute session for us to introduce ourselves and talk about what brings you to counselling and what you would like to achieve from the sessions. This gives me the opportunity to share with you how I work as a person centred counsellor and what the session will look like. We can then arrange a time and date for our first session to take place.
