Are you feeling overwhelmed right now? is it hard to cope with day to day life? I understand the challenges life can bring and how lonely and isolating that can feel. No matter the reason, having someone non judgemental and supportive to listen and navigate the way forward or to support change can be a huge relief.
Positive change and a hopeful future is possible; over a 25 year career as an integrative counsellor and mental health clinician, I have supported many people to live more meaningful and fulfilled lives.
I support adults impacted by physical health concerns, stress and anxiety and motivational change. However I have a particular interest in anxiety, depression and suicidal ideation. Our work together can help ease your pain and help you to feel calmer, more empowered and in control of your life and helping you to achieve your goals.
As an Integrative Counsellor I have over 25 years experience in both counselling and as a health specialist. I have a medical background having trained as a nurse, working previously within Private practice, the NHS and Police, specialising in mental health. I use a range of models, theories and techniques and this along with a flexible approach, gives me a unique skill set and uniquely equips me to consider physical and emotional aspects of your health as we work together.
I realise that finding the right counsellor can be difficult. I offer an initial assessment session which will be an opportunity for you to share some background information and the concerns that brought you to counselling. This will also allow you to get to know me a little bit and is an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have. You will also get an idea of how I work as a therapist.
This assessment session will be charged at my normal rate, to ensure that there is sufficient time to gain a good understanding of your concerns and how I may help. There is no obligation to continue after this if you do not think it is a good fit for you. Counselling sessions will be online and I am currently using Skype, WhatsApp or Zoom.

My first sessionIn our first session you will receive a warm welcome. I will listen carefully to your story without judgment and will provide a safe space for you to talk. Building trust is important so you feel at ease and are able to explore the issues that concern you. It is natural for the focus of therapy to shift once you become more comfortable and I will help you to resolve current conflict that is causing you pain or preventing you from living your best life. I understand that reaching out can be a big step, so you will never be pressured to move at a rate faster than you are comfortable with. You can be assured of a fully confidential service.
