About me and my therapy practice
I work in an Integrative way which means that I do not believe there is one model of counselling which is suited to all people as each one is a unique individual. I aim to be sensitive to the cultural and ethical background of individuals and to respect these as an important part of who they are.To create an environment whereby you feel safe to explore feelings and options and develop a better understanding of self. I qualified as a Counsellor in 1999 and taught Counselling Skills and Personal Development for many years. I have experience of working with young people, disability and a variety of settings. I believe it is important to "take time out to listen to yourself" and I believe that Counselling enables you to do this. I have also done a lot of work on my own Personal Development and see this as an ongoing process.

About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified Counsellor and was trained within the Integrative Model. I am also a Supervisor with a Diploma in Clinical Counselling Supervision -Level: Post Professional. I also have a Teaching Certificate.
I work with qualified Counsellors and trainee/student Counsellors face to face or on line which suits your needs best.
I aim to work sensitively and embrace differences; to respect, support and encourage and to help you grow in confidence, skills and knowledge whilst maintaining your own sense of self that you bring to the process of supervision. I am aware that each person has different learning styles and at different pace.
You will be encouraged to prepare for supervision, what you are looking to get from it that will enable you to work more effectively for the best interest of the client. Also, to reflect on your work with supervisee.

My first session
Our first meeting will give us both a chance to assess whether I am the right supervisor for you as the relationship needs to be such that you feel comfortable to present your case load without fear of being judged or holding back as this will not be in the clients best interest.
The meeting is also to assess: the level you are at, what it is you expect from supervision and the model in which you were trained.
At the end of the meeting hopefully, we will have agreed a working contract. This will include fees, cancellation, venue and our responsibility to each other for the purpose of supervision.
