About me and my therapy practice

Hello. I am a person-centred counsellor, working on the telephone, online and face to face in south Liverpool. I have extensive experience in counselling adults and young people who are managing anxiety, depression, bereavement, and turmoil around currently feelings, as well as processing feelings around past events. My particular areas of professional interest are gender and sexuality, but I can offer a safe, non-judgemental space to work with you on whatever you may be experiencing. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and my training included working with adults and young people. I have worked in schools, as a counsellor and pastoral leader, for many years. I am passionate about the power of counselling to change people’s lives. I look forward to speaking to you and beginning our journey together.

Practice description

I am a person-centred counsellor. This means that I believe that you alone are the expert on your own experience and feelings. I will listen to you, without judgement, and together we will explore what is hurting, or feeling difficult, and how you can feel better.

I also offer play therapy, where we can use toys and other objects, or drawing and colouring, to facilitate the exploration of your feelings.

My first session

In our first session together we will complete a contract, so that you know exactly what you can expect from me; I will invite you to ask any questions you may have and then I will give you the space to tell me what has brought you to counselling, and our therapeutic journey will begin.
