About me and my therapy practice

Understanding how I work:

My starting point is offering you a consultation. A consultation is an opportunity for us to meet and explore your expectations and understanding of therapy. During consultation, you will gain a sense of what it is like to work with me.

The consultation session is an opportunity for you to take time and space to talk about what is happening in your life. Whilst having an experience of being valued, accepted and understood and to see how psychotherapy maybe helpful to you.

What is therapy like with me?

I am a BACP, registered and accredited psychotherapist, practicing since 2008. My experience includes:

-Family therapy

-Child and parent therapy

-Parent sessions (emotional and practical support with parenting)

-Psychological education (strategies and ways of managing)

-Individual adult psychotherapy

-Individual child psychotherapy

-Couple sessions

-Parental separation

-Court directed psychotherapy with children, adults and parents

-Local authority work with residential staff, education staff and social workers

Psychotherapy is meaning-making of worries, relationships and self, in order to feel more content and able to manage the world.

I will endeavour to ensure that you feel safe, contained and secure while engaged in psychotherapy with me. This is important as therapy can feel intense and challenging, it can be hard work, at times, but is a good investment in your self-care.

We will work at your pace and with the topics that you bring. I will aim to offer you a relationship, that supports you, in a non-judgmental and caring manner.
