About me and my therapy practice

I am a psychotherapist and counsellor, with experience extending over more than twenty-five years. I offer a compassionate and accepting therapy service to both individuals and couples from my light and comfortable consulting room.

My approach combines sensitive exploration of underlying themes from the past and present with a focus on the changes you wish to bring about for the future. I work both in short-term and the longer-term with individuals and couples, depending on the needs of the client.

I hold an Advanced Diploma in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy (Wessex C&P), as well as a postgraduate diploma in psychodynamic counselling from the University of Reading (1996), and a diploma in solution-focused, brief therapy, gained from the University of Birmingham (2005). I am fully trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples, and I am a qualified and experienced supervisor of other practitioners (Cascade, 2006).

As well as practising as a psychotherapist and counsellor, I teach students on a Diploma in Counselling course. I have a MA in ‘Consultation and the Organisation’ from the Tavistock Centre, and I have trained in executive coaching at Ashridge Business School.
