About me and my therapy practice


Tired of managing a health condition? Lost your mojo and identity through illness? Wanting to make healthier choices?

Living with illness can be exhausting, isolating and stressful. It can leave you wondering who you are and what your place in the world is.

I work alongside anyone who feels overwhelmed by medical issues and the impact illness has on mental and physical wellbeing.

Through a combination of counselling and health coaching, the sessions offer a chance to make sense of life circumstances and review personal health and lifestyle habits.

My counselling background allows us to incorporate mental health issues such as anxiety or depression and identify possible past trauma or relational issues preventing change. When appropriate, the coaching work around setting new habits for wellness can begin.

We’ll look at your needs, what choices you have, what’s stopping you changing. What are your strengths to build on and what matters to you in life.

If you were well, what would you be doing? Or perhaps the thought of being well again and the challenges this brings can be quite daunting?

Practice description

Whether you’re managing a long term condition or wanting to prevent illness, I will work at your pace to develop understanding, find acceptance of what cannot be changed and seek opportunities where change is possible.

I will help you to find the best way to reclaim your health and quality of life.

Sessions include:

• Work on improving self-awareness and understanding

• Help with mindset and mood regulation

• Building on strengths and key values

• Finding new coping skills and identifying those that already work

• Rebuilding resilience and purpose

• Improving communication and connection

It’s about finding that resourceful inner state. Rediscovering your authentic self, finding what helps you thrive in life, what gives you pleasure, connection and purpose.
