About me and my therapy practice
I work with adults and young people on a one-to-one basis. I can help with a range of difficulties including anxiety, low self esteem, eating disorders, OCD, relationship problems, anger management, post natal depression or baby blues, redundancy, stress and work related issues.
What to expect from your first session:
The fact that you are here means you are ready for change, and change is scary. Most of us have to first become so uncomfortable where we are, that eventually staying the same is scarier than changing.
Our first session will be an assessment session where we get to know each other and discuss how we can work together. I don't give advice but work together with you to find the answers that I believe are already within you. Sometimes this is an uncomfortable process. I will be with you all the way and offer a confidential, warm and non-judgemental environment where our therapeutic relationship is key. After our assessment, you are under no obligation to continue with the therapy.
How counselling can help:
Helping people to improve their own lives is my passion. For many people, the simple process of exploring their wants and needs, their present and sometimes past with a trained independent counsellor can be very beneficial.
Together, we will explore your thoughts and bring your unconscious into the conscious mind. In doing so, helping you to become more self-aware.
I am an integrative counsellor, which means I work with the whole you, mentally, physically and emotionally, to maximise your full potential.
