About me and my therapy practice
Life is too short to be unhappy, unsure, or unfulfilled. Therapy can help you learn and develop better ways to break through the obstacles that seem to be holding you back in life. I believe the past is always present. Understanding links between your past and present can enable you to move forward with understanding and self-compassion. Embrace the future by resolving patterns that no longer serve you.
I'm an integrative therapist, which means I have been trained in different theories so I can adapt to your needs. I also work relationally, believing the therapeutic relationship is healing in itself and focus on creating a genuine and healing connection. I offer a warm, secure, and confidential space to recover, heal and grow.
You are an individual. So, although I bring my knowledge and experience, I will listen to you without judgement and assumptions about your unique experience.
MA Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy
Training includes Working Safely with Trauma, Complex Trauma, Domestic Abuse, Breathwork, Mindfulness, Parts Work, Shame, Grief and Loss, Intensive Short Term Dynamic Psychotherapy, GRSD including Polyamory and Trans Awareness.
Online or phone sessions only.
The number of sessions is up to you. Therapy can be short or long term. I usually recommend a minimum of 6 sessions to allow the counselling process to develop.
Sessions last 60 minutes.
Typically we would meet weekly at regular times. You will have a slot that is only yours: same day, same time, every week. As therapy progresses, we may decide together to vary that.
