About me and my therapy practice
Can counselling help me you may ask yourself? Life experiences can sometimes take you to a place where you feel overwhelmed and confused and may cause anxiety or depression. You could feel ashamed or have no sense of who you are and what you want, making it difficult to form decisions or talk to family and friends. This difficulty could result in a feeling of isolation and loneliness. By talking to a qualified counsellor, someone that is impartial can offer you, a first step to positive change. It can also give you an increased self-awareness and acceptance of yourself and develop your relationships with others.
As a qualified counsellor and BACP Registered member I am passionate about helping people with their personal development. I treat everyone as unique, working primarily Person-Centred I can also integrate other modalities where appropriate which, allows me to be flexible to your individual needs. As a counsellor I feel it is important to continually update my skills and regularly attend Continual Professional Development workshops and lectures to increase my knowledge to gain a deeper understanding of my client's needs.
I have experience working face-to-face with adults and young people in an agency setting in the Wokingham area. Privately I work with adults in my own home which is easy access from both Reading and Wokingham. I provide a warm environment that is safe and confidential where, we can explore your concerns in an honest way without judgement.
