About me and my therapy practice

Can counselling help me you may ask yourself?  Life experiences can sometimes take you to a place where you feel overwhelmed and confused and may cause anxiety or depression.  You could feel ashamed or have no sense of who you are and what you want, making it difficult to form decisions or talk to family and friends. This difficulty could result in a feeling of isolation and loneliness. By talking to a qualified counsellor, someone that is impartial can offer you, a first step to positive change.  It can also give you an increased self-awareness and acceptance of yourself and develop your relationships with others.

As a qualified counsellor and BACP Registered member I am passionate about helping people with their personal development.  I treat everyone as unique, working primarily Person-Centred I can also integrate other modalities and a holistic approach that considers mental, physical, and spiritual factors where appropriate working with the whole person to promote healing and a deeper sense of self in a mindful way.

I am also a qualified Reiki practitioner and can offer a short chair Reiki healing as part of our first session together should you be interested in this.

I have counselling experience working face-to-face with adults and young people in an agency and school setting in the Wokingham and Hants area.  Privately, I only work with adults on-line and face-to-face in my own home in Henley-upon-Thames.  This is easy access from Wallingford, Marlow, High Wycombe, Shiplake, Caversham, Winnersh and Wokingham.  I provide a warm environment that is safe and confidential where, we can explore your concerns in an honest way without judgement.

Practice description

As a counsellor I never stop learning and updating my skills, I regularly attend Continual Professional Development workshops and lectures to increase my knowledge and gain a deeper understanding of my client's needs.
