About me and my therapy practice
I would describe myself as a holistic practitioner who believes in the human potential for transformational growth. I supplemented my MSc Counselling & Psychotherapy with a Performance Coaching diploma to ensure I can facilitate the needs of my clients.
I view transformation through a ‘whole person’ lens and work with clients to identify obstacles, adjust their behaviours and maintain consistency. I understand that integration is a massive part of psychological well-being, and as such my sessions are designed to empower individuals to live their lives with passion, meaning and purpose.
I founded Holistic Transitioning during my travels in Europe, since then the company has evolved to what it is now. I have experience working with a wide variety of clients with an even wider variety of goals and dreams.
Practice description
Exploring your internal world alone can be a scary place. Often in life we aren’t shown how to handle perfectly normal emotions, as a result we keep them bottled up inside and this can restrict or even harm our chance of living a healthy and happy life.
Integrative therapy combines the frameworks and applications of several approaches to therapy, with an emphasis on the relationship between the client and therapist.
Mindfulness practises are a way of bringing awareness to the present moment - without judgment or resistance; these practises have been shown to increase resilience, awareness and our ability to navigate our emotional landscape.
In Mindfulness Based Integrative Therapy (MBIT) we have combined these for the client to move towards a greater state of balance and clarity, with mindful awareness as the foundation for internal support and guidance.
Sessions last 50 minutes at a frequency which is agreed upon during the initial consultation. If you feel ready to speak to someone and begin the process, you can contact me for an initial assessment.
My first session
In the initial assessment we will explore what has brought you to therapy, what you are hoping to get from our sessions together, and an overview of the contract. This will include the BACP ethical framework.
