About me and my therapy practice
You may be wondering if therapy is for you, or feeling a bit nervous about it? Rest assured that you are not alone.
As an Integrative counsellor I draw on various techniques that may help with your personal situation. I focus on the the Person-centred approach, that holds you at the centre of it.
- I have worked with bereaved clients for several years, with a special interest in supporting those bereaved by suicide
- I support those experiencing loss of many kinds including redundancy, relationship breakdown, self-esteem.
Sometimes it can be hard to pinpoint what the issue is, but you know you would like to feel better.
The feelings produced by difficult or traumatic events can often include anxiety, loss of self-esteem and hope, but you can be sure that I will listen to you carefully and without judgment.
I will encourage you to explore your thoughts and feelings safely.
We will work together to achieve the best result for you.
At all times, treatment will be tailored to your needs, with me alongside you.
We will check regularly that you feel supported and safe.
We may explore how you could develop resilience for the future.
You will always be in control of your therapy, and its duration.

My first session
After I receive your email enquiry, I will reply to arrange a date for our initial consultation that normally lasts around one hour. I will ask some questions about what you hope counselling may help with. We will consider how we could work together to help you.
You can ask any questions you may have about the process of therapy. After an hour or so, we should have a reasonable idea of how we proceed. The choice will always be yours as to whether you wish to continue or not.
Why not get in touch to find out?
I look forward to hearing from you.
