About me and my therapy practice

About Me: I am a highly qualified and experienced Bereavement & Loss Counsellor with an established practice, online and in Henley on Thames. As well as working generally with anxiety & mild depression, I specialise in working with traumatic loss and bereavement.

Having personally experienced the traumatic death of a close family member, I really understand the shock, pain, isolation and anger that clients may be feeling. I strongly believe that with the right support, it is possible to regain a sense of hope for your future.

I have benefitted from personal therapy over the years, and that inspired me to train as a therapist.

Who Do I Work With? I support clients who have suffered the unexpected and unimaginable pain of losing someone due to tragedy. The isolation of dealing with serious loss can add to the trauma, and delay healing. Complicated grief may emerge years later.

Other clients have experienced major losses such as their home, a job and/or a relationship.

If you feel shattered by trauma or loss, I can accompany you to recover some sense of a 'new normal'.

How I Work: I qualified as an Integrative counsellor, with focus on person-centred talking therapy, and other techniques as appropriate. As you share your thoughts and feelings confidentially, you will be listened to with respect, compassion and empathy. The cornerstone of this approach is support through non-judgmental active listening.

As we work with what troubles you, this active listening can yield surprising results including insight, understanding, self-compassion...
