About me and my therapy practice

Do you feel stuck, sad, lost or alone?  Are you struggling under the weight of your emotions?  Maybe you are finding it hard to imagine what your future looks like now with the loss of your plans, hopes and dreams.

Times of loss and change can feel so heavy and complicated, often feelings of guilt and anger mix in with sadness and it’s hard to make sense of it all.  Maybe you feel lonely too as others seem to move forward with their lives or shy away from talking about the very thing or person that you so desperately need to talk about.  Together we can navigate your feelings so that you find peace and a way to step out of the darkness.

I’m an experienced counsellor working with loss, change and grief; I can help you to feel lighter and more positive about your future.

I’m naturally empathic and have a high level of integrity.  I take my ethical and moral responsibilities very seriously, ensuring that I provide a safe and confidential environment, I believe this is imperative to enable you to work through your difficulties with me.  I’m a registered member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) and I abide by their code of ethics.

As an integrative counsellor my training covered a variety of counselling modalities, these inform my work but nothing is more important than the therapeutic relationship I build with my clients and the trust between us.  I work at your pace and help you to find the answers that lie within you.  I successfully practiced in this way as a bereavement counsellor when working at a hospice for five years and continue to do so in my private practice.

Practice description

I provide face-to-face counselling in the Southend-on-Sea area, offering sessions from two tranquil locations; one of these is a seafront location in Thorpe Bay and the other a high street location in Leigh-on-Sea.
