About me and my therapy practice

Anxious or feeling low? Perhaps you are grieving or struggling with a loss of some kind. Life might feel really tough right now, counselling can help you work through difficult times.

I'm empathic, warm, and down to earth. I work in person and online, and I can sit with you and hear how things really are for you, without judgment. Maybe right now you aren't sure what is going on for you, or what you feel. Anxiety might be a constant presence.

 07706 182797 or email:

I have lots of experience in working with anxiety and depression, loss, relationships, trauma and domestic abuse. Loss can take many forms from death to loss of identity, especially at certain stages in life. Sometimes we can wonder who we are, and feel like we just aren't good enough.

So what's next? Take a look at

Send me an email, a text or leave a voicemail, and I'll get back to you as soon as I can, during Monday to Friday. Details are below. We can arrange a chat over the phone, which is free of charge. This helps you to discover if therapy with me may suit your needs, and for me to work out if I can support you.

Practice description

I work in a summerhouse in my garden, which is private and cosy. You can come here in person or see me online via WhatsApp video or Skype. I also offer telephone counselling.

What you can expect from me is warmth, genuineness, empathy and integrity. I work with clients to build a therapeutic relationship that enables you to gain the most from counselling. This may be short term or long term, a choice that remains with you.

We will look at what you need, try to work out why you feel like you do, and what may help to support you during the rest of your week.

I am an integrative counsellor, which means I can draw on a range of theories to aid our work. Essentially I believe in our relationship, and that we are equals, I may ask questions and may suggest things to think about.

Easily accessible from Amesbury town centre on foot, there is a bus stop 5 minutes walk away, I am approximately 8 miles from Salisbury.

I don't have any toilet facilities for clients unfortunately, and there are 3 steps up to the cabin where we will be.

My first session

From your first session, you'll be met with kindness and warmth.  What brings you here, what do you need from this experience? We'll work together starting to build a therapeutic working relationship.

I'll meet you outside, and walk you through to where we will be, direct you to your comfortable chair and there will be water and tissues available.

I'll already know a little bit about you from our initial chat on the phone, and you may have thought of other questions you'd like to ask. I will ask some questions that are relevant and I may make a few notes, these are kept confidential and locked away.

You'll have paid already via online banking unless you need to pay in cash. And you would have given me your details such as a next of kin and your address, again these are kept confidential. You would also have seen my therapy agreement, this tells you what you need to know.

We start and finish on time, so that you can plan your day and make other arrangements.
