About me and my therapy practice
Sometimes life can seem hard - a situation is worrying you, something has happened that has affected you, you feel like you’ve lost your way, you don’t know who you are any more, or you feel depressed or anxious for no obvious reason at all. If you can relate to any of these, counselling may help.
I am a qualified person-centred counsellor and psychotherapist based in Dunoon, Argyll. I believe that everyone is unique and has their own perspective on life, based on their thoughts, feelings and beliefs. You are the expert in your own life (even if it doesn’t always feel like it), so I’m not going to judge you, or give you advice or tell you what to do. Instead, through empathy, openness and kindness, I will help support you to explore how your situation feels for you and, by building a relationship of trust and respect between us, together we can work towards finding the best way to move forward for you.
I offer 50-minute counselling sessions from a comfortable and safe space in my home, with a reduced rate for the initial session which will allow us the opportunity to get to know each other and find out if we would like to work together.
I understand that going for counselling, or even enquiring about it, may make you feel nervous or anxious, but please don’t let that be the barrier that stops you from seeking the help you deserve. Be assured that I will always do my best to put you at ease. I am here to help and will be happy to hear from you.
