About me and my therapy practice

I am here to listen to you. If you are considering whether to embark on counselling therapy, being listened to is what you need and want more than anything else.

I became a counsellor because I believe I have an innate ability to relate positively to people.

Counselling is a journey of self-exploration that will enable you to come to terms with the events or problems that are troubling you. I hope you will allow me to accompany you on that journey.

Counselling begins with an initial assessment in which I listen to the issues of concern to you and determine whether I think I can assist you and in which you decide whether you think we can work together. If you are satisfied that you will benefit from counselling then we will agree a programme of sessions.

I spent many years in retail management and training before qualifying as a counsellor in 2001. I also work as a school counsellor at a large secondary school in Woodford Essex and I am a Barnados certified adoption placement and support counsellor. I'm also registered with BUPA. I am tri-lingual with Turkish and French and have a very good working knowledge of Spanish.

The building is accessible to wheelchair users.

Churchfields is located off the Woodford High Road and is well served by public transport. The nearest tube stations are South Woodford and Woodford, and bus numbers W13 and 179 operate from the former to the Chelmsford Road stop.
