About me and my therapy practice

Are you struggling with anxiety, depression, loss or low self-esteem leaving you feeling hurt, angry, overwhelmed or alone? Counselling can help by us working together to try and make more sense of things.  Having the time and space to do this in a safe counselling environment enables a healing process through self-reflection, helping you to feel more empowered and self-aware.

Having had my own varied life experiences, I feel this helps me to understand many of the difficulties that life can present us with.

I work integratively which means that I am able to draw from several different theories which enables me to adapt the work to suit your individual needs. In addition, there maybe scope to include mindfulness, creative working and where relevant, guided meditation, if these feel beneficial to the work.

I believe that we all have the potential to work with our own inner resources in order to live a more fulfilled life and I see counselling as a journey of self-discovery and personal growth; a journey that I walk alongside you with.

I offer counselling to adults on either a short or long term basis, dependent on the client's needs. Short term counselling often focuses on a particular issue, ie. loss, whereas longer term counselling can be open-ended, allowing for deeper exploration and understanding of how life's experiences have (and are) impacting on you.

Each session lasts for 50 minutes; usually sessions are booked at the same time/day each week. My practice is based in Chippenham, Wiltshire.

I have worked as a volunteer Counsellor at Olive Branch Counselling, Wiltshire Mind and Wiltshire Revival (RASAC) as well as in my own private practice.
