About me and my therapy practice
I currently offer on-line sessions via Skype or Zoom, by phone or outdoors.
I appreciate that counselling can feel daunting so to help ease any concerns I offer a warm, friendly welcome and a safe and confidential place where I will listen, encourage and support you. I recognise that it can take time to trust someone with your thoughts and feelings so you choose what to discuss and when.
To be really listened to, understood and valued for the unique person that you are can be a powerful experience.
I feel passionate about my work: helping others to help themselves, investing in themselves and their own futures. I believe that we all have that innate drive to become who we were meant to be and that we have the inner resources needed to get there, but we often lose sight of this through life's experiences and social conditioning. Working with a counsellor can help you re-discover your true self, helping you grow as a person and to feel more empowered.
I work with a variety of concerns and have a particular interest in working with trauma-related issues.

Woodland Wellbeing Retreat Days
I also offer wellbeing retreat days in beautiful private woodland just outside of Calne, Wiltshire. These are small group gatherings of around 10 people and offer a mix of meditations, mindfulness practices, shamanic journeying, sound therapy and more.
They are a wonderful opportunity to connect with nature, like-minded people and enjoy the relaxation, recharging and replenishing that working in nature has to offer.
My practice is in a lovely welcoming purpose built cabin in my back garden in the centre of Chippenham. There are a few steps up the garden as it is slightly tiered. Free parking is available in and around the street.
Face to face work is currently just as a "walk & talk" session outdoors.
I am fully insured, DBS checked and emergency first aid trained.
My first session
This first session gives us both the opportunity to see if we can work well enough together, to see if you feel comfortable working with me and for me to be able to check that I can provide the right support for you.
I will explain how I work and what you might expect from our work together as well as finding out from you what you hope to get from counselling. It also gives you a chance to ask me any questions about counselling.
We will also be filling out some brief paperwork (ie. contact details etc).
At the end of the session there is no obligation for you to return if you do not wish to; I appreciate that many people like to meet with several therapists before settling on the one they feel is right for them.
If you would like to continue meeting with me we can go on to book a second session together.
