About me and my therapy practice

I am a fully qualified Person Centred Counsellor, offering you a safe and confidential space to explore, reflect and grapple with the issues that impact upon your life. As a Person Centred Counsellor I will work with you and my aim will always be to enable you to find greater autonomy in facing life’s challenges. In my work with clients I strive to create a non-judgemental, honest and understanding environment that I believe is ideal for positive personal development.

I know how unnerving or uncomfortable the idea of therapy can be especially if this is your first experience of personal counselling. Both as a client while in training and as a qualified counsellor I have seen how effective and transformative the counselling process can be. It might be difficult to pick up the phone to make those first steps into personal counselling but I will endeavour to work with you at your pace and do what I can to ensure that you feel safe, supported and heard.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a professionally trained Person Centred Counsellor and graduated with a distinction grade. As a member of the BACP register (accredited by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care), I abide by their ethical guidelines.

I do not specialise in working with one specific client group and have worked with a range of clients presenting with vastly different and unique issues. In my continued professional development some specific areas of study have been addiction, suicide, shame, berevement and compulsivity.
