About me and my therapy practice

Have you found, like so many people that you are struggling with isolation? 

The lock down period and social distancing measures, may have prevented you from activities that formed part of your normal coping strategies.  Within this period of Covid-19 I am still here for you, providing a safe and confidential space via telephone and online video.

Does it feel like your head is just above water?

Are you struggling to cope with problems?

Are you taking anti-depressants but feel that on their own they aren't working for you?

Are you unable to live your life as you would like?

Then maybe I am the therapist for you.

I am a qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist based in Nottinghamshire, who has experience in working with adults within the voluntary and health sector.

Practice description

I offer a holistic approach when working with you as my belief is that we are all complex individuals and there is no 'one size fits all'. At times, life can get tough for many of us and therapy can be a positive decision.

With this in mind, I draw on other theories to suit your needs and way of interacting. Fundamentally you will find my approach is based on building a warm, respectful and trusting relationship that feels safe and secure. You will have the space to explore how you are feeling without judgment and with acceptance.

I cannot offer advice, however my aim and hope is that by working together I can facilitate your emotional development, helping you to make sense of who you are and what choices you would like to make in order to live a fulfilled life.

My first session

Our first session is an opportunity to find out if I'm the right therapist for you.

 I can tell you more about my values and beliefs and establish what you would like to achieve from our sessions, what is your goal?

This will help us to work out if short or long term work would be right for you.

If I felt that I could not provide you with the support you needed then I would sign post you to another therapist and/or agencies.
