About me and my therapy practice
You have already taken the first step towards feeling healthier. You have come to this website to find someone who can help you. My role is to work with you while you explore your experience and identify what you need to heal and thrive.
I believe that your mind and body are a whole unit, so in addition to identifying the source of your feelings, you will learn to be proactive in the regulation of your body’s experience. This will help you to overcome physiological symptoms such as panic attacks, flashbacks, palpitations & sleeplessness. We may work with your dreams, with objects or using visualization. At all times I will respect your right to decline the use of these types of intervention. Above all, this is your therapy & you will be an active participant in creating your path to a thriving life.
At this time I work online using Zoom video conferencing and via telephone. When social distancing ends I will resume face-to-face work and outdoor walk-and-talk therapy.
My first session
Before your first session we will have the opportunity to talk, free of charge, on the phone. You do not have to commit at this time, the purpose of our conversation is to assess whether we can work together. It is important you get a sense that I am the therapist for you because our relationship is important to our work together. I need to know that I can offer the unique skill set you need. If I can't, I will signpost you to someone I think may better suit your needs. Your experience is unique so the support you receive should be too.
If we decide to go ahead we will make an appointment for a formal assessment. This aims to establish what your needs are & how you will know when you have what you need. Assessment Session: £25 for 50 minutes.
