About me and my therapy practice

I am a qualified supervisor with over 16 years of experience working in education. I did specialize in working with young people, and I am currently contracted with a university to provide supervision for education. I am also a founder member of an alliance of supervisors in the North West, which allows me to keep my knowledge and skills up-to-date.

I believe that a professional relationship that is comfortable and supportive is essential for effective supervision. Supervisory sessions provide a safe space for us to reflect upon ourselves and the client's needs, as well as the organisation's expectations and demands.

As a supervisor, I am committed to providing my supervisee's with the support and guidance they need to be effective in their work. I offer a variety of services, including:

Individual supervision: This is a one-on-one meeting where we can discuss the supervisee's work, their clients, and any challenges they are facing.

Group supervision: This is a meeting with a group of supervisees where we can share experiences, learn from each other, and provide support.

I am passionate about helping others develop their skills and knowledge, and I believe that supervision is an essential part of professional development. If you are interested in learning more about my work, please contact me.

Practice description

My training for supervision is informed by the model of Hawkins and Shohet, and Page and Wosket. This model is based on four key principles: coaching, development, resourcing, and qualitative evaluation.

Coaching is about building trust and rapport with the supervisee, and providing them with support and guidance.

Development is about helping the supervisee to reflect on their own practice, and to develop their skills and knowledge.

Resourcing is about providing the supervisee with the tools and resources they need to be effective in their work.

Qualitative evaluation is about assessing the supervisee's progress, and identifying areas for further development.

I believe that this model provides a comprehensive and effective framework for supervision. I am committed to providing my supervisees with the support and guidance they need to be effective in their work.

My first session

I offer a free introduction as this gives an opportunity for both to get to know each other and to determine if you feel this would be  a good fit for our proffesional realtionship. It is also a time for the supervisee to ask any questions about what they would like to gain, benfit from the sessions.
