About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified supervisor with over 16 years of experience in the education sector. My specialism is working with young people in educational settings.
I believe that a comfortable and supportive professional relationship is essential for effective supervision. Supervisory sessions create a safe space for us to reflect on ourselves, the needs of the client, and the expectations and demands of the organisation.
As a supervisor, I am dedicated to offering supervisees the support and guidance necessary for their effectiveness in client work. I provide individual supervision, which can be conducted face-to-face or online.
Group supervision is available within organisations and locally for private practitioners, as working in private practice can often be a lonely experience.
I I am passionate about helping others develop their skills and knowledge, and supervision is an essential part of our professional development. If you are interested in learning more about my work, please feel free to get in touch with me.
Practice description
My training for supervision is informed by the models of Hawkins and Shohet, as well as Page and Wosket. These models are based on four key principles: coaching, development, resourcing, and qualitative evaluation. Coaching focuses on building trust and rapport with the supervisee while providing them with support and guidance. Development involves helping supervisees reflect on their own practice and enhance their skills and knowledge. Resourcing entails equipping supervisees with the tools and resources necessary for effectiveness in their work. Qualitative evaluation consists of assessing the supervisee's progress and identifying areas for further growth. I believe this model offers a comprehensive and effective framework for supervision. I am committed to providing my supervisees with the support, development, and guidance they need to excel in their work.
My first session
I offer a free introduction as this allows both parties to get to know each other and to determine if you feel this would be a good fit for our professional relationship. It also provides space and time for the supervisee to ask any questions about what they would like to gain and benefit from the sessions.
