About me and my therapy practice
Perhaps there is something that weighs heavily on you and makes you feel lost and alone... I offer a compassionate and safe counselling space via Zoom, phone, or walking and talking outdoors. Face-to-face appointments are limited due to COVID-19.
In addition to being a counsellor, I am also a healthcare professional. I lived and worked in different countries and cultures which taught me to appreciate and adjust to a rich variety of human experience. Besides my private practice, I also work for IAPT services in the NHS. The issues I have experience with are bereavement, pregnancy loss, traumatic birth, anxiety, depression, cultural adjustment, relationship difficulties, suicidal thoughts, self-harm, trauma, PTSD, work stress and bullying.
Practice description
My therapeutic approach is integrative and relational, informed by different counselling schools as well as the attachment theory, mindfulness and Focusing, adapting to what feels right for you. Three cornerstones of my approach are exploring your relationship to your feelings and body (pre-verbal self/right brain), reviewing your life story and finding meaning (cognitive/left brain), and facilitating connection to the loving presence of others.
