About me and my therapy practice

I am a BACP-accredited Humanistic Integrative Counsellor and can provide face to face, telephone or online counselling.

I know at times life can be difficult and its easy to feel things are impossible, feeling unable to cope, overwhelmed or just feel everything is out of control. You may want things to change, or want to change something about yourself.

Counselling can help you understand and deal with difficult feelings and situations, counselling is not just about helping you solve problems its about helping you make positive changes.

I will work with you collaboratively providing a confidential, trusting, safe and non-judgmental environment working empathetically centered around you. We will explore difficulties that you may be facing and work together in finding ways to achieve your goals. I am committed to listening to you and to work alongside you so you may develop your own understanding and awareness, enabling you to find your own answers and creating your own changes.

Practice description

I have a flexible and adaptable way of working drawing upon the core models of my training - Person Centred, Gestalt and Transactional Analysis. This enables me to work in a way that is comfortable and right for you providing a confidential space where you can find your answers, feel heard and understood and find inner resources to make the positive changes you are looking for.

I value the unique and individual qualities which you already hold. My aim is to help and support you through whatever you are experiencing. I work with compassion and will work alongside you so you can try to understand and make sense of what you are experiencing and finding difficult.

My first session

I offer a free 20 minute telephone or Zoom introductory session for us to explore your needs and understand what has brought you to this point. My aim is to find out more about you and your experiences and to assess whether I can provide the support you are looking for. At the end of this session we can decide how best to proceed and to give you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have. There is no obligation to book any sessions following this.

I am more than happy to discuss or answer any questions by email prior to arranging an introductory session.
