About me and my therapy practice
I offer online counselling to adults who may be struggling with self-doubt, impostor syndrome, or not feeling “good enough”. Maybe you feel that you don’t deserve to be where you are in life (in your job, university, or relationship) or that you don’t deserve to progress (get a raise/promotion, step into the dating world). You might find it difficult to accept praise, compliments, or affection. Your inner thoughts might sound like “I have no idea what I’m doing,” you feel like a fraud, or you worry how other people would react if they saw the real you. Perhaps other people try to reassure you that you are talented or worthy of your accomplishments, but you don’t feel as capable as they think you are.
If you find that your self-doubt is holding you back in your life, I can help you challenge the unhelpful beliefs that are keeping you from enjoying what you have or preventing you from moving forward. By exploring what makes it difficult to feel “good enough,” we can work to strengthen your self-esteem and self-compassion to make you feel less like an “impostor” and more comfortable with who you are.

It is important that you find a counsellor who is a good fit for you and this initial meeting can give both of us a sense of how we might work together. We can explore what brings you to counselling, what your hopes and expectations are, and whether you have any questions or concerns. If we decide to work together, ongoing sessions (50 minutes) are usually held weekly on an agreed day and time.
