Testimonials

" Counselling with Caroline was very very helpful and this has had a huge influence on my general level of health. My anxiety was through the roof , my hair was falling out with anxiety and stress and I had gum disease.

I am now living healthily and letting go of things that have been eating away at me forever and now I'm able to talk about it.

Caroline provided a safe space for me to unload, reorganise my thoughts and regain perspective in a judgement free zone. "  Client C.

"Caroline is kind and genuine and this made me feel safe, Caroline's honesty allowed me to trust her and her professional and skilled approach brought many interventions to jog my journey along.

We used art, metaphors, role play, many visualisations and imagery, there were tears but we also laughed a lot . I often left with a spring in my step feeling lighter and happy. I truly treasure this experience."  Client L.

"Right from the start I found Caroline to be warm and understanding, and I felt that I trusted her from very early on. We began our sessions in person but due to lockdown, we moved online. I was amazed how she could still come across with so much empathy and her ability allowed me to really share some very deep parts of myself and I felt safe." Client S

About me and my therapy practice

At different points in our lives, we might find ourselves feeling distressed, lost, unsure, overwhelmed or stuck. We may feel sad or anxious or feel that we have lost our way and our motivation. We might feel as if we are carrying a heavy weight from the past which could be creating a barrier to enjoying healthy relationships with family or work.

As an experienced integrative therapist, I draw on many approaches and work with relational depth and creativity to explore the present difficulties. My approach is built on a foundation of calm and quiet patience and compassion, whilst holding the belief that by working together in a safe non-judgemental space, we can explore thoughts feelings and behaviours and create a time for reflection. This in turn will develop a deeper awareness and understanding and enable the opportunity for change and growth.

Practice description

My role as a Registered Nurse has provided me with life experience and a valuable lens through which I have witnessed the psychological and physical impact of trauma and loss. My experience of nursing in the Army during the Falklands Conflict and Northern Ireland informed my work as a counsellor whilst working for a Charity with Veterans and their families.

My first session

I aim to offer a calm space to anyone who feels they need gentle support and understanding and some quiet time for reflection when the clatter and chaos of life feels too much to carry alone.

My practice is currently online or telephone due to the Covid 19 restrictions.
