About me and my therapy practice
My name is Tapiwa, and I know through experience and training how tough it can be to wade through and unknot the emotions, feeling, despair and everything else life throws at you. I’m an integrative practitioner, and as such, I will be drawing on various therapies to support you as we seek to find the answers to the challenges you are facing.
It must have taken you a couple of clicks to get here, and very possibly a lot of strength. By looking for support you have made a move towards better health and resilience. I believe that, within all of us, are the answers to the challenges we face. And in this part of your journey, you can think of me as a guide that supports you in finding those answers.
As a counsellor who comes from a family with a vibrant history, my practice principles are influenced by this, and as such I will endeavour to honour and respect your individual and unique point of view. I offer a safe space with no judgements, so come as you are. You can talk as much or as little as you need. I will nudge, prod, respect and often challenge you as we move towards the answers you seek.
How we can work together
I am an integrative counsellor offering a blend of theories including person-centred and CBT. I am drawn towards approaches where the focus is on exploring both your behaviours in response to daily interactions and events, and the underlying causes of these behaviours. I believe in working with you on these rich and complex life issues and experiences to build an anchor that leaves you feeling more resilient.
My first session
I offer a free 20-minute session to help us gain a better understanding of how we might work together.
