About me and my therapy practice

Hello, I’m Judith, an experienced & qualified Counsellor and a Registered Nurse. My mission here is to offer you a safe and confidential space in which we can explore together what brings you to Counselling.

Why Counselling

My decision to train as a Counsellor was guided by my nursing background. Working as a Registered Nurse in a busy NHS organisation. I noticed how there was a need to understand the relationship between how we view our health and how that is linked with our sense of who we are.  Additionally, I had first hand experience of working in a large organisation and understand  the stresses and pressures that can bring to the staff across the workplace.

We all have times in our lives where we might struggle and would like to seek the support of others. Life throws challenges and questions at us from many directions. Counselling can help you to explore these questions with someone who is not a relative or a friend, a safe, confidential and impartial space which is yours.

My aim as a counsellor is to offer you the time and space where you feel heard and understood. We will work together as you gather & gain your own ‘life toolbox’ and feel more able and equipped to embrace life’s challenges and questions.

Do you believe that through gaining an understanding around your life experiences,  exploring what they might mean to you on an individual level, is a move to help you understand the reasons why you might be seeking counselling?

My aim here  is to offer you a safe and confidential space where you feel understood and heard. We will work together to explore some of your life challenges that may be stopping you from being the person you believe you can be.
