About me and my therapy practice
The last two years have been difficult for everyone with many people experiencing anxiety, either because of Covid or because isolation and the loss of normal coping strategies have increased existing concerns. Others have suffered bereavement or relationship difficulties. It has been confusing to negotiate such an unprecedented situation.
At times we all struggle and need help. This could be because of major life changes or because of a trauma from the past that is continuing to impact on the present.
It could also be because life has become too complicated and we are having difficulty juggling all our thoughts and responsibilities.
Mostly we manage to get through the difficult times but sometimes it is hard to see the way forward and talking to a professional counsellor can provide support and understanding.
I will work with you to help you to achieve your goals, allowing you to move forward to a happier future.
Practice description
As an experienced counsellor, I provide confidential one to one counselling based on an Integrative model.
Using either video or telephone sessions, we will work together to understand your history and how you came to be in this dark place. Together we make sense of your story.
This allows you to make changes and to become the person you want to be.
My first session
In our first session together we will explore your reasons for seeking counselling and what you would like to achieve.
I provide a safe environment where you can be open and honest about your feelings without fear of being judged.
I will explain how I work and how I can help you.
During this session we will set goals for where you would like to be at the end of our work together.
Counselling is a deeply personal experience and it is not easy, but I will treat you with understanding and respect and support you on this emotional journey.
