About me and my therapy practice
During this difficult time many people are experiencing anxiety either because of the current situation or because isolation and the loss of normal coping strategies have increased existing concerns.
At times we all struggle and need help. This could be because of major life changes or because of a Trauma from the past that is continuing to impact on the present.
Mostly we manage to get through the tough times but sometimes it is hard to see the way forward and talking to a professional counsellor can provide support and understanding.
I work collaboratively with you to help you achieve your goals, allowing you to move forward to a happier future.
As an experienced counsellor with a background in Family Work and Occupational Health, I provide confidential one to one counselling based on an Integrative model.
I work with you to understand your history and how you came to be in this dark place. Together we make sense of your story.
This allows you to make changes and to become the person you want to be.
My first session
In our first session together we will explore your reasons for coming to counselling and what you would like to achieve.
I provide a safe environment where you can be open and honest about your feelings without the fear of being judged.
I will explain how I work and how I can help you.
During this session we will set goals for where you would like to be at the end of our work together.
Counselling is a deeply personal experience and is not easy, but I will treat you with understanding and respect, and support you on this emotional journey.
