About me and my therapy practice

Hello and welcome.

Are you feeling stuck, anxious, overwhelmed, lost, scattered or burnt out?

Perhaps you have a voice in the back of your head that says, "you're not good enough" or "you should be able to cope".

Perhaps you find it hard to say no to requests you can't meet.

Sound familiar?

Painful life experiences and the difficult thoughts and feelings that show up along the way can at times stop us living the life we want to live.

Sometimes we need help to make sense of what is going on for us, a safe space to talk, understand ourselves better, build confidence and learn new skills so that we can do what matters in our lives.

Practice description

I offer a way of working that is informed by my core counselling training, my work as a wellbeing group facilitator, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and mindfulness based practices.

I am passionate about offering a safe space to support and facilitate self-exploration and discovery. I offer short and long term counselling, face-to-face and online.

I continue to develop my practice by attending workshops, training courses, supervision, reading and researching – all of this supports me both professionally and personally.

And I learn from everyone I meet. As a group facilitator and counsellor, I have had the privilege of working with hundreds of people from all walks of life. The conversations and discussions I have been part of have taught me so much about what it is to be human.

My first session

I offer a free introductory consultation for up to 30-minutes. This is so that we can meet, you can ask any questions you may have and explore what you are looking for in therapy.

Counselling can go on for a handful of sessions or longer, depending on what you need. Together we will periodically review our work to ensure it is meeting your needs.

Each counselling session will be a 50-minute appointment and we will usually meet weekly.
