About me and my therapy practice
My name is Vanessa and I am a BACP registered therapist, trained in psychodynamic psychotherapy, but also using creative techniques such as guided visualisation and mindfulness when appropriate. My main concern is to provide a safe space where we can work together to begin to explore and understand the issues which have brought you to therapy.
Some of my key areas of experience are working with anxiety, depression, bereavement, self-harm, eating disorders, gender and identity, relationship problems, domestic abuse, chronic shame and PTSD and trauma, especially relating to issues from childhood.
I can also offer walk and talk therapy, sometimes known as ecotherapy, taking therapy outdoors to immerse ourselves in the healing effects of nature to improve wellbeing. I am a qualified forest school leader with outdoor first aid qualifications. I am fully DBS checked.
I work from several locations around Brighton and Hove, depending on what's suitable for you. My initial session is £25 and I also offer some low cost spaces.
