About me and my therapy practice

Hello, my name is Alec and it’s a pleasure to meet you.

I understand that seeking counselling or therapy can be a deeply personal experience and it can be difficult to take that first step. For this reason, I strive to offer clients a safe, friendly, and compassionate space to explore their difficulties while they learn about themselves and find healthier alternative ways to live their lives. I do not give advice and fully believe you are the expert on how to be you. However, no matter what your difficulty maybe I can offer you empathy, understanding and support as we work together. If you are seeking change, therapy may be helpful.

The door to therapy is open to anyone and doesn’t have any requirements. Maybe you have been through some difficult life events, lost someone important to you, had difficulty in relationships or maybe you're having trouble putting what you are going through into words and you just want to learn more about yourself. Whatever your experience, it is welcome here.

I have been involved in mental health training and services for the past 5 years and have had the pleasure of supporting a wide and varied range of clients in face-to-face sessions and remotely during the Pandemic, it would be a privilege to offer my support to you now as you explore the difficulties in your life.

Practice description

My practice is aimed at supporting you as a unique and worthy individual. If you are suffering or struggling I am here to offer you help as you explore the difficulties in your life. Our work together can be a first step towards gaining an insight into these problems, making new choices about how you live with them or perhaps moving beyond them.

I also strive to work with people from different backgrounds and cultural experiences, I welcome clients from all walks of life and whilst I am committed to educating and enriching myself I am also open to learning and being taught by your lived experience so that I can better understand and support you.

My first session

If you think working with me could be helpful or you have any questions please get in touch.

With new clients, I like to have a short, friendly phone consultation (free of charge) where we can get to know each other and share any information that may be important to our work, this helps me understand your difficulties and how I can offer you my support.
