About me and my therapy practice

I am a fully qualified and experienced counsellor, currently also working for the NHS as a psychodynamic counsellor- a talking therapy. I always keep in mind how difficult it can be to take the first step to see a counsellor, and I offer a supportive environment, with this in mind. I have experience of working with a variety of issues, especially anxiety and depression, and offer a way of working that is specific to each individual.  I use some CBT techniques, where appropriate.

I work with clients both short term and long term, I also have experience of working over the telephone. I can offer to speak on the telephone initially (no fee), as a first contact.

I work confidentially and in accordance with the BACP code of ethics. I am a registered member of the BACP and completed a course accredited by the BACP (MHCPC). I have full insurance.

My background is in the Arts and I have also worked in a corporate environment. I have a degree in English Literature (BA Hons).
