About me and my therapy practice

Therapy with me is built on trust, freedom to speak and the opportunity to be heard.  I believe that everyone has the opportunity to place themselves at the centre and take steps to improve their mental health.

I'll help you when feel anxious, stressed and unable to cope, with me you have the opportunity to talk through your thoughts, identify feelings and find elements of yourself that are hidden or lost.

I also support bereavement and loss, wether it’s end of life care for yourself or someone you know, bereavement of any description and allow you the opportunity to express your grief.

I support you in finding your way, whatever that is for you.

During your therapy we will build in space, time and energy for you to explore your immediate world, navigating your known and unknown.

Practice description

I have experience of working face to face, via the telephone and on-line with adults, both privately and at a specialist bereavement charity, as well spending time in a school counselling service working with teenagers with various needs and issues.

I am approachable, easy to talk to and here for you.  I want to support you on your journey, to walk beside you as you explore and map your journey forward, finding strength and building a new resilience.

I am qualified and work in an integrative manner, Person Centred Therapy (here and now) and Psychodynamic (your past, the visible and the invisible).  I am always updating my knowledge with reading and training.

I have a breadth of experience working with bereaved individuals, navigating loss and grief, also working with anger, anxiety, low self-esteem and those at a crossroads.

My first session

An initial chat will give you the opportunity to share with me the reasons for seeking therapy, I can outline in person my approach and we can discuss how this fits in with your goals and expectations.  At the end of this free consultation, if you wish to proceed, we will set a day and a time and agree a weekly contact.  I offer short term therapy, normally a 12 week period or long term therapy.
