About me and my therapy practice
I am an experienced, accredited counsellor/psychotherapist seeing clients in Peckham and on zoom. I can help you understand and accept yourself whilst also exploring ways to implement healthy changes.
I offer a safe, confidential space where you can express your most challenging thoughts and feelings and be heard with empathy and respect. Together we will increase insight into the way you feel and act. We will explore how your life experiences have shaped your beliefs, thoughts and assumptions about yourself and the world. This process will enable you to gain more control over your thoughts and actions.
I offer long and short-term therapy, supporting clients with the range of issues that effect mental health and wellbeing including depression and anxiety.
I also specialise in Sex and Relationships therapy. I support clients with relationship issues, anxieties around sex, compulsive sexual behaviour and pornography use, and issues relating to sexuality and adjustment to health diagnoses.
If you think you might be interested in working together please email me. I will then offer you either a free introductory call, or a 50 minute assessment session. After the assessment session if you decide you want to go ahead we will book in a ongoing weekly slot.
I trained at Greenwich University to master’s level (MSc) in Therapeutic Counselling; before this I studied psychology at degree level at the University of Newcastle (BS, hons).
I am a BACP accredited counsellor/psychotherapist and an Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapist. I am accredited as an Advanced Gender, Sexuality and Relationship Diversities Therapist by Pink Therapy and am trained in IFS couples therapy.
I work integratively, combining psychodynamic, humanistic and cognitive behavioural techniques. I also offer Internal Family Systems therapy to individuals and couples.
My first session
I offer assessment sessions at a reduced rate.
In your assessment session I will ask about your current life situation, your background, and what has brought you to therapy. We will work out together exactly what it is you want to get from therapy, and whether you want to work in an open-ended way, or for a specific amount of time. You will have the opportunity to ask any questions that you have about the way I work. You can then take some time to consider if you would like us to continue to work together.
