About me and my therapy practice

I practice integrative therapy, employing various approaches tailored to each client's unique needs. Recognizing that no single approach fits everyone, I offer adaptable methods to suit individual circumstances. My aim is to assist you not only in exploring how your past may influence your present but also in envisioning a more purposeful future.

Starting therapy can require a lot of courage, and you might wonder whether I'm the right therapist for you. You can expect me to gently welcome you to the space, especially if it is your first time. I always meet people where they are and begin where they want to or feel they need. Depending on what works for you and what you're seeking from therapy, I will guide you through the process of finding your own answers or navigating whatever challenges you may be facing.

Often, we feel stuck, confused, hurt, or are experiencing deep pain or crisis, but there is always a way forward. I give my clients plenty of space in sessions to allow for natural flow, sometimes uncovering what needs attention without conscious effort. My goal is to cultivate a trusting and genuine connection with my clients so that healing can occur within the therapeutic relationship.

Practice description

I offer online sessions using the Bilateral Base platform, which is easy to use and secure. The session link is sent one day before the session, and sessions occur on a weekly basis at the same day and time as agreed upon during the initial session.

Online counseling can be an excellent way to engage in therapy, especially for those with busy schedules. Some individuals find it more comfortable, convenient, and discreet, as there's no chance of being seen entering a counselor's practice, which may be important for privacy.

Using internet technology, you can select a location and environment that suit your needs and make you feel most comfortable. Online counseling involves both seeing and hearing your counselor on your device screen. However, if you choose to only work with audio, then a video camera is not necessary, and therapy can take place via phone or simply using the online therapy platform without a camera.

My first session

During your initial 50-minute session, you'll have the chance to discuss your situation. I'll be interested to hear about what brought you to therapy, a little bit about your background, and your hopes for engaging in therapy. Additionally, I will explain our working agreement.

This session will also allow you to become acquainted with me and ask any questions you may have. If you wish to continue our work together after the initial session, I typically request a commitment to six additional sessions. At that point, we'll conduct a review to assess how you're finding our collaboration. During this review, we'll discuss whether you'd prefer to continue with an open-ended agreement, a fixed number of sessions, or to conclude therapy.
