About me and my therapy practice

I am a specialist in online therapy. I offer sessions from the comfort of your own home. This is both convenient for you, and makes my practice accessible for those with disabilities.

Life can sometimes feel difficult, and like there is no-one to turn to.

Maybe you feel lost, distressed, stuck and un-fulfilled?

Or perhaps you have a sense that things just don't feel as they should, that your life is not going as you would like it to.

Maybe your relationships seem unfulfilling, work or family or other parts of your life are not giving you the pleasure you hoped for.

Do you have childhood issues that keep impacting on your life? Maybe you lost a loved one at a young age, you were neglected, or were abused, and still feel the trauma of this echoing down the years.

You may have been diagnosed with a mental health concern, such as anxiety, depression, PTSD or complex PTSD. Or maybe you have a compulsive behaviour, such as an addiction or struggle to manage self-defeating, repetitive patterns.

Psychotherapy can help with these and other such dilemmas. Psychotherapy offers a unique space where you will find warmth, support and a listening ear. A place to reflect and feel heard. Psychotherapy can help you to feel less alone. It's  a place to overcome challenges, to try out new ways of relating, and to process painful or traumatic memories from the past.

Practice description

I have 20+ years experience as a therapist and mental health practitioner. Working in the NHS and charities. Most recently in Private Practice. I have extensive experience and have worked with people from all walks of life.

I offer open-ended therapy either weekly or twice weekly. I use mainly a psychodynamic approach, although I often integrate other modalities, tailoring my approach to your needs.

I feel the basis of any good therapy is the development of a good rapport and I offer a safe and containing environment to nurture your growth.

My first session

I offer a free initial telephone consultation  lasting around 20 minutes.  If we decide to proceed from here, we can arrange a face to face (virtual via zoom) meeting and take it from there. We can book two or three initial sessions to allow you to get a feel for me and for us to see if we can work together. From then on we can contract on a discretionary basis for as long as you feel the need for therapy.
