About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I’m Sophie, an Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist offering private sessions remotely, via Zoom or telephone.
Whether you've been struggling for a while, or if an unexpected life event has hit you hard, taking the time to talk, process, and reflect can help you make sense of how you’re feeling, equipping you with the tools and mechanisms to make changes and move forward.
When working with clients, I do not believe there is a ‘one size fits all’ approach. Having trained and practiced across different therapeutic models and techniques, I am able to facilitate a flexible approach that can be tailored to your individual needs and preferences. I view a warm, holding and collaborative therapeutic relationship as central to our work together, and provide a non-judgemental, engaged space for you to be heard. Together, we will work together to help you gain insight into what might be causing pain or feelings of being stuck, and move towards understanding and fulfilment.
I have worked with a variety of people from different walks of life and have experience working with a wide-range of issues. These include: Anxiety, Depression, Self-esteem, Perfectionism, Stress Management, Bereavement, Identity Issues, Imposter Syndrome, Relationship Issues, Burn-out, Life-transitions, Women’s Issues, and Work-related Issues.

My first session
I know that seeking support can feel daunting, so I take great care in the initial session to explain the counselling process and get to know you, exploring your expectations and needs, and ensuring that you feel I am the right person to help you. I offer both long-term and short-term therapy, depending on your needs. Sessions last 50-minutes and will be arranged for a time that suits you.
You can expect to find a collaborative and proactive partnership, someone who will explore and make sense of the problems you are struggling with.
