About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified and experienced Humanistic Therapist with a deep sense of compassion. By offering a calm, reflective space, I aim to create an environment of trust and safety where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgement. I will support and guide you to uncover your own inner resources in order to find solutions within yourself. I very much value the collaborative experience of therapy as it is the therapeutic relationship which provides the foundation to help bring about positive change.
Therapy provides a trusting, compassionate and facilitative relationship for moving through life’s uncertain waters. My goal is to help you feel more in control of your life by gaining insights into patterns and relationships that may hold you back and to develop practical skills for coping with life’s inevitable challenges.
My first session
My suggestion is that we arrange an exploratory session where we can explore what has brought you to therapy, the difficulties you are experiencing and why. It may be that you can only attend a fixed number of sessions. We can set objectives in this exploratory session which are realistic for the time frame. I normally suggest we plan 4-6 sessions and then review. Some people just need a few sessions whilst others need a more ongoing, open ended approach.
