I appreciate how challenging the current circumstances are for everyone and I wanted to reassure you that the safety and wellbeing of my clients and of course myself, is of great importance.
In line with the current advice issued by Public Health England, as of Monday 23rd March, I will no longer be offering face-to-face counselling sessions for the foreseeable future. In this uncertain climate however, I recognise how important it is to continue to be able to provide my current and future clients with counselling sessions.
I am offering counselling sessions through two different methods, the first of these is online video conferenceing and the second is by telephone. Video conferencing will be the preferred option as it will enable us, as much as is possible, to recreate the experience of a face to face session. I understand that this way of talking might be new to you, especially for counselling sessions and that you may have some questions. I'd be happy to have an initial telephone conversation with you.
About me and my therapy practice
My name is Sarah Russell, and I am a registered counsellor with experience of helping people with a wide range of issues.
I feel it is important to acknowledge that during our life we all go through difficult times. You may be struggling at the moment and wondering how to cope. Your difficulties may be related to a specific life event, or perhaps you are experiencing a more general sense of unease, feeling stuck, lost or overwhelmed.
I am very much committed to helping my clients find a way of working through whatever concerns are troubling them in order that they can achieve a better quality of life for themselves. I am here to lend you some hope until you are able to find your own.
I practice a Humanistic approach to counselling and core to this is providing you with an empathetic non-judgmental space to explore and make changes to your life. We can get to know ourselves better through counselling which can help us to make more helpful choices about our life. I hold the belief that if a person has a problem, they also have the answer.
Starting counselling can feel quite a daunting prospects. Reading this indicates, you have made the first steps to making some positive changes in your life. If this sounds like something you'd benefit from and would like to do, please contact me to arrange an initial consultation
