About me and my therapy practice
You may have come to counselling with a specific issue or problem you wish to focus on or more generalised feelings of unhappiness. I can offer time to reflect in a safe, empathic and confidential environment to look at difficult feelings and experiences. Sharing our unspoken thoughts and feelings can be hugely transformative, helping us to become more resilient, while allowing us to make our own choices to form a more fulfilling life for ourselves.
I believe the development of a trusting relationship between therapist and client is fundamental to therapeutic work. I see the therapeutic process as a collaborative one, with me working alongside you to support the development of a greater understanding of yourself and your relationship with others.
The integrative relational model I work from uses ideas from psychodynamic, transpersonal and humanistic theory. This model allows me to respond to clients in a unique manner with flexibility and creativity.
I have 10 years experience of working with people within health and wellbeing settings. I have worked therapeutically with clients within the voluntary sector since 2016. I continue to volunteer in 2 bereavement services in East London and Essex. I have worked with people in grief, depression, anxiety and chronic illness. I can offer open-ended long term work or time limited dependent on your needs and circumstance.
