Hi, I am an accredited counsellor and I am able to work with all age groups. In my extensive experience I have worked in the NHS and with a Grief Charity with children and young people. I have also had a number of years working with adults working in various other settings.
I can work in a solution focussed way or longer term depending on what you need. I can use different modalities of counselling to help you achieve your goals. I work with a variety of mental health issues including - stress and anxiety, depression, Autism, sexuality and gender issues, self harm, anger management, trauma, loss and grief, adoption and related issues for over 18's, and relationship difficulties to name a few.
Practice description
As your Counsellor, I believe that you are the expert and my job is to appreciate how you experience the world and the challenges that may bring. Listening to you and working together we can look at the difficulties you may be facing. Being non-judgemental and supportive I will create a safe space for you to explore thoughts and feelings.
My first session
Initially we will have a phone conversation which will help me understand what your needs are. During the second session we will complete a virtual assessment, which normally takes no more than 50 minutes. This gives me the chance to learn some more about you and ensure that I am best placed to support you. I appreciate there are lots of counsellors out there so finding one that you feel comfortable with is really important.

I currently have space available for online supervision. I am able to have some flexibility on times of the day and days of the week, so i would suggest that it might be helpful if you can get in touch and we can discuss what you need further.
About me and my therapy practice
In my role as a counsellor, over the years, I have worked with children, young people, adults, and older adults across a range of settings. My experience includes both employed and self-employed roles, working in different settings including school environments and within the NHS. This breadth of experience allows me to bring a rich and practical understanding to the supervisory space, offering informed support to you and your work with clients.
I gain so much from my own supervision and consider it a deeply valuable part of my professional life. It’s a genuine privilege to offer supervision to others, and I approach this role with respect, care, and a commitment to your growth as a practitioner.
Practice description
I offer supervision from a person-centred stance, grounded in the core conditions of empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard. My approach honours your autonomy as a practitioner while providing a collaborative and reflective space in which you can deepen your understanding, explore challenges, and develop your therapeutic practice.
I believe effective supervision is built on trust, openness, and mutual respect. Whether you're in training, newly qualified, or an experienced therapist, I aim to support your growth and well-being, helping you to stay aligned with your values and ethical responsibilities. I hold a deep respect for the personal and professional journeys that therapists bring to supervision, and I work relationally to foster a space where you feel safe to be curious, creative, and honest.
I have experience supervising practitioners working with adults, and diverse client groups across private practice, education. I welcome supervisees from all modalities who appreciate or are open to a relational, person-centred foundation.
Areas of interest include:
Working with trauma and complex grief
Therapist self-care and resilience
Ethical dilemmas and boundary issues
Developing reflective practice
I offer supervision online. Please feel free to contact me for an initial conversation about your needs and whether we might work well together.
My first session
Our first supervision session will include an informal assessment, giving us both the opportunity to get to know each other and explore what you’re looking for from supervision. This helps me understand what’s important to you in your work as a counsellor—your approach, where you are in your professional development, and the kind of support you might need from me.
Equally, it gives you a chance to get a sense of who I am and whether I feel like the right fit for you—someone you feel comfortable enough with to share the complexities and nuances of your client work. Building a safe, respectful, and collaborative relationship is at the heart of how I work, and our first meeting is a valuable first step in that process.
