About me and my therapy practice

My role is to help you find solutions and ways of dealing with the situations that matter to you and that are impacting your life daily. Therapy is a process and can lead to real changes and deep lasting transformations for you.

I am an integrative therapist which means I use lots of different methods to support you in achieving your goals. I have experience in helping people who have faced difficulties including, low self-worth/self-esteem, anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, lack of trust, loss and grief, anger, relationship issues and conflict. BUT this list is not exhaustive.

I offer you a safe and supportive environment which enables us to explore your difficulties. We work together at your pace, finding the best way forward for you. I can assure you a confidential and empathic service, free from judgement so that we can explore what is happening and help you work towards your growth and change.

As a member of the National Counselling Society and BACP I abide by the professional standards set out in the Ethical Frameworks for Counsellors and Psychotherapists.

I can provide both short-term and long-term counselling to individuals or couples including evening and weekend appointments.

Practice description

I believe my counselling services can provide you with support to find the best solutions to current or long-term issues.

I am confident that my professional experiences, together with my commitment to continuous professional development, will enable me to work with you as the unique individual that you are and not a one size fits all approach.

Accessing counselling is a huge commitment, not only financially but also in terms of time, so we will regularly review and reflect on how the sessions are supporting you and your reasons for accessing therapy.

My first session

The most important bit! Do I suit you?  I offer a free initial telephone consultation where I can get an overview of what support it is you're looking for.  If I'm not the right person for the job, it means I can refer you to someone else, saving you time and money.

If you do book a session, it can either be face to face, online or telephone.  It's completely your choice.  I will be asking you to complete an initial questionnaire so I have a little more detail.
