During the global pandemic, I am currently offering Skype Zoom and Telephone appointments.
You are welcome to call if you wish to discuss anything such ad what you're looking for and fees. Or we can organise an initial consultation by email/sms.
About me and my therapy practice
Currently Skype Zoom or telephone appointments only.
I work from consultation room Balham and have a non-dogmatic approach tailored to, and led by you. This can involve linking past to and managing the present, developing self-understanding, mindfulness, making changes in your life including coping strategies.
During your first appointment we can discuss what brings you to counselling, what's troubling you and on your mind. Then we can discuss what you are looking for and how to develop a way of working that integrates and blends appropriate useful therapeutic approaches that best fit you.
Over the years, I have developed an Eclectic/Pluralistic approach.
In other words I am non-dogmatic to any particular way of working. We can work in response to your needs in short-term or longer-term therapy as well as personal consultation/coaching.
You will be able to work within Humanistic, Integrative, Family-Systemic, CBT, Mindfulness, Psychodynamic and Existential models as you focus on what it's like to be you and on what's going on in your life today.
Perhaps you feel like you are unraveling, things are disintegrating, find yourself over worrying, feeling low, or maybe you are feeling unfulfilled, unproductive, discontent or maybe trapped in a corner.
Then we can find the best way to cope in the 'here-and-now' and we can explore how you got there and where you are going.
If appropriate, I am able to use hypnotherapeutic tools involving grounding and relaxation exercises alongside guided and/or creative visualisation techniques.
I have trained and have workplace and private practice experience of using Trauma Incident Reduction (TIR) techniques and tools if required.
My first session
At our first appointment we can discuss what you're looking for, hoping for and how we might work together.
You will of course then have time to decide if you're comfortable working with me and how to go forward.

About me and my therapy practice
I offer individual or group supervision.
If I were to categorise myself as a psychotherpist and spervisor I woud call myself, Eclectic.
That is to say to be open to all possibilities in therapeutic and supervision relationships.
My approach is 'supervisee led' and my psychotherapeutic thinking, experience, supervision and training is grounded in many schools of thought, including the traditional: humanistic, psychodynamic, person centered, integrative, existential (phenomenological), relational and CBT.
I am also able to consult in a systemic context.
I hold a Diploma in Clinical and Consultancy supervision (2005) and have completed one years CPPD in Psychotherapeutic Supervision with The British School of Psychotherapy (BAP) in 2008/2009
I have been working in private practice since 2006 and supervised counsellors in training from a wide range of educational organisations and universities and have an established supervision practice with qualified practicing therapists.
In organisational/private settings I supervise within many settings with issues such as: general mood and behaviour dysfunctions, domestic and sexual violence, homophobic harassment, crime, bereavement, criminal justice/addiction, addiction recovery programmes, young people, trauma and crisis, 12-step, relationships/couples..
I can offer concessionary rates for counsellors/therapsits in training and daytime appointments.
