About me and my therapy practice
An unbearable heartache, a vague sense of unease, anxiety or anger, a confusing crossroads in your life? As a therapist experienced with people with all these, I will be deeply interested in you as we look at what's going on and find new ways forward.
I am an integrative therapist, which means I offer a range of modern therapeutic approaches, depending on your needs. I see therapy as a warm, welcoming place where you will be able to say (and not say) whatever you want to, in confidence and without judgement. I will be alongside you, supporting you as we explore your experience, make connections between different parts of your life and look at how you want to move forward. I will aim to help you to uncover strengths, build inner resources, and feel more fulfilled, alive and connected with others.
This time of coronavirus is full of uncertainty, anxiety, loss, loneliness, strains on relationships and shock, and many of us are finding that our usual struggles are magnified. During this period I am offering online video therapy, which you can access from your own home. When my face-to-face work resumes, it will be in central and north-east London.
My qualification is a four-year BACP-accredited Diploma in Integrative Counselling from the Minster Centre in London. I am BACP-registered and work according to the BACP Ethical Framework. As well as running my own practice, I am a counsellor at Mind.
My first session
Whether or not you’ve had therapy before, a first session with a new therapist can feel like a big step. I offer a first session as a consultation: you will be able to tell me some of what has led you here, get a feeling for what therapy with me will be like, and ask me any questions you may have. If we continue, we might want to have just a few sessions, or work on an open-ended basis, allowing us to go deeper.
