About me and my therapy practice
** ONLINE COUNSELLING **
I am a qualified Integrative Therapist, trained to provide a range a therapeutic approaches to ensure you are heard and the right support is offered. These approaches include (though not limited to) Psychodynamic, Person Centred and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. I aim to work in an accepting and compassionate way. Amongst other areas I can help with stress and anxiety, OCD, bereavement, depression, loss, post-traumatic stress, shame, identity issues, self esteem, relationships and work related issues.
I have over 15 years experience of working and supporting individuals and families through a range of complex challenges. I have worked both as a practitioner and manager across a number of services supporting parents, young people, victims of crime (including domestic violence and assault), and a charity supporting children who have been trafficked and exploited.
The challenges individuals face can often feel insurmountable. I have experienced how working in a collaborative and supportive environment can enable people to adapt and make the changes they want to see.
As your therapist you can expect me to listen, understand your needs, and be non-judgemental as we explore the difficulties that you are facing. I work within the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Ethical Framework for good practice. With the unique interests and needs of my clients in mind, I maintain my professional competence through continuous personal development and work ethically within my practice. Depending on your own needs, I am able to offer short-term, time limited or open-ended therapy. I have personally experienced the positive impact of the counselling process and practice in a way that is accessible to all – recognising the differences, unique qualities and gifts we all have. It is a real privilege to provide direct counselling and therapeutic support to those in need.
