My availability is between 6pm-9pm weekdays and Saturdays 10am to 12pm, but i can be flexible with times and days.
I have also worked with individuals that do shift work.
About me and my therapy practice
I have been working in the field of counselling for over 20 yrs and as such, I have worked with a wide variety of clients from many diverse backgrounds, including young people, adults and those that are retired. All are welcome.
Some of the issues that i have worked with include:

I am passionate about helping individuals reach their goals, self-develop or simply feel better or happier within themselves. It is your time and your space, this is central to how i work.
Change in your personal, work, relationship or family life can be unsettling at times. This can cause an individual to feel a little unsteady or unsafe, which could impact on mood or the way that a person behaves, occasionally leading to drug misuse, low mood, or relationship breakdowns etc. In a way, this is one of the reasons why counselling exists, to assist an individual to explore these issues in a safe environment, helping you to move away from feeling stuck and into a more empowered way of being.
With the use of my MSc in Counselling Psychology and Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy, I am able to draw on a wide array of techniques, therapeutic approaches, and tools that are tailored to your needs.
When it comes to counselling it's important to shop around to find someone that you feel comfortable with.
People that have worked with me have often said that I am calm, warm, respectful and understanding, to such an extent that they are able to share things that they have never shared with anyone else before.
I recognise that each client is unique, some individuals come with a clear goal in mind, others want to gain more insight and understanding of themselves and how they relate to others or simply feel stuck in life.
I draw on a number of counselling and psychological theories, such as Person Centred, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Systemic, Gestalt and Solution focused theories to help individuals explore and move forward towards their goals.
Clients say that sessions feel comfortable and informal, allowing information to flow freely. This enables me to get a detailed history, an in depth understanding of the individual and what is wanted/required or needed from sessions. We can then work together to decide on the best intervention and therapy goals that suit you.
